Review of Black Sheep (1996) by Brendan N — 24 Sep 2018
Caught this film on my day off, not quite the guilty fun film I was looking for, but it had its moments. The fun was the cast who give the concept everything, its the banter that I enjoyed throughout. The film fails when it attempts to ramp up the action for the horror crowd, the jagged tone shifts don't suit and you are left with some very out there moments.
People turn into sheep and turn back from humanoid sheep to humans, it is one very crazy film. I wanted to find something here, much like Dog Soldiers by Neil Marshal, that was a comedy/horror concept that paid off.
The film was a success so it must have its fans but for a once off watch, it wasn't the worst high concept horror film out there. 25/09/2018.
