Intense and claustrophobic but the thrill moments are infrequent. The first half hour drags on somewhat steadily with Harrison (Jude Law) introducing us to the ruins of what is his life; laid off, divorced etc quite cliche and then the obvious opportunity window comes: go into the 'Black Sea' to get Hitler's gold (more or less).

Once you're in the submarine, you only know what's going on about half the time (unless you're a submarine of course), fair enough they might've but trying to filter the words through such a thick Scottish accent isn't easy.

To improve this film, I would use actors with significant differences like I know it as Jude Law, "Virgin", Fraser, Snitch, Russian 1, Russian 2, forgettable characters. Also, make the story line clearer; so you don't have to read a submarine manual before hand.

Good story on the whole but only comes gripping towards the end, a little gripping in between but loses it within minutes. Will say, it has a good ending on the whole.
