Review of Black Sabbath (1963) by Chris S — 27 Dec 2007
Excellent portmanteau horror from master director Mario Bava. Of the three stories making up this compendium, the final one, La Goccia d' Acqua, is spot on the money and deserves its highly regarded reputation.
The final scene of the movie featuring Boris Karloff is also particularly enjoyable, and reveals more about the film-making process than a dozen DVD commentaries put together. All killer, no filler! Please note that this rating only applies to the uncut Italian version.
