Review of Black Sabbath (1963) by Mark D — 24 Feb 2011
Brilliantly shot and very entertaining. "A Drop of Water" is my personal fave.
The other 2 stories are worth a mention also, the telephone being a early Giallo-ish entry (although not completly) and very interesting considering that it was heavily cut on its release cos of the lesbianism. The Wardaluk is the famous section starring Boris Karloff and is a great exercise in mood and gothic aesthetic. Altogether this makes a wonderful, complete anthology without a bad story within it, which is a rarity.
