Review of Black Roses (1988) by Oliver S — 03 Nov 2007
This cannot be a serious movie, but it's fun to watch, in that so-bad-it's-great way, like Stephen King's It. Filmed during the height of the PMRC/parents' concerns over Satanic heavy metal, this movie is about a "metal" band literally from hell, whose music turns audiences into ravenous, sexual demons.
Fun to watch, and it has nary a dull moment. Good junk food movie that's fun to laugh at and more watchable, in its own perverse way, than a lot of campy b-movies. Just watch the trailer. It's hilarious.
Of course it "sucks," but it sucks so good.
