International buddy cop movie, in Red Heat it was US - Russia, in big trouble in little tokyo , the roles were reversed, the genre ended up recently with Rush hour... Better now than if I had seen it then since my age makes me nostalgic for the time.
... Interesting that Big Trouble and this share something in common, the up and coming international star died soon after (Brandon Li and Yusaku Matsuda).
