Review of Black Rain (1989) by Kevin M — 01 Nov 2011
Scriptually flawed, but otherwise fully entertaining action-thriller. The first half moves at a slow, but again, involving pace. The last half opens at full-throttle and doesn't let up! Jan De Bont's cinematography is gorgeous as always.
Hans Zimmer's Asian-Rock hybrid score is tops. And great Direction from the always indelible Ridley Scott, and performances by Michael Douglas and Ken Takakura.
