Review of Black Panther (2018) by Mylovingangels — 17 Feb 2018
I saw the movie and believed that it would be a good movie but it wasn't all that great. Of course in the end it is always about the white and black community with nothing in between in the United States.
Racism exists in every country, color, up, down, and sideways. The black community is not the only community to suffer racism. White communities, Asian communities, etc. In spite the fact that in this county that we still base everything on ethnicity is horrifying.
I DO NOT consider myself Chinese-American only American. It is very sad to see this kind of movie and not feel connected at all to the characters. There is no inclusion or connection. It is about us versus them as per usual.
Didn't exactly help there was media about how people are supporting children in poor black communities to see the movie. What about everyone else who may not be able to see the movie who are in a low income area.
I didn't realize being poor was only limited to the black community. The only thing good to come out of this movie as the badass women who did a great job of being badass women. I clearly felt that women did not need to be protected or taken care of but it would be nice to have a partner in life not a requirement.
