What I love about this movie, as opposed to other Marvel films, is that you can tell there was a lot of thought and heart that went into this story. It wasn't a superhero film that was made for the sake of money.

The problem with a lot of these Marvel movies is that they did so well with the Avengers that they just stopped caring about making subsequent films that actually had any real substance. I'm talking about films like Thor: The Dark World, Spiderman Homecoming, Captain America Civil War, Iron Man 2 & 3.

They were nice to watch, but I couldn't be bothered to sit through them again. They were made to hype you up for the Avenger films and clean your pockets if I'm being honest. Black Panther, on the other hand, was very different from any Marvel film.

Its nice to see a film that has a little culture in it. Its not just another superhero film with a bland cast and predictable plot lines. I loved the dynamic between the characters, I loved that the villain wasn't bad for the sake of being evil, and yeah, the film might have been influenced by the Lion King in some respect but who cares, who doesn't love the Lion King? The acting was amazing--the casting was perfect.

I loved that the film wasn't afraid to go into some very real and dark subjects. I just hope that Marvel will see the importance of this film and continue to make heroes that showcase different communities.
