Review of Black Panther (2018) by Ivan J — 02 Dec 2018
The first solo live-action superhero film from the MCU we have seen in a while. And they delivered. The first scene actually spooked me a little and was pretty epic. Michael B Jordan who played another Fox character (the Human Torch in the 2015's Fantastic Four) didn't have a chance to really show off his acting skills, but he did in this movie. You will see similar skills in his movie, Creed. The plot was interesting so many unanswered questions and they actually made a canon comic book sequel. The way they presented Wakanda was great and I would put this up there with my top ten. They used quite a bit CGI which was fine and it was amazing. The costume design was stunning for the Panther and same for the antagonist, guaranteed win for best costume design. The best solo superhero film. There is one death in the film which was very disappointing but other than that, excellent movie. I would recommend this and give an age rating of PG for mild bad language, fictional drugs, and violence.
Grade: A+.
