Review of Black Narcissus (1947) by Ethan T — 03 Aug 2010
A film a bout a bunch of nuns sounds terribly boring and unattractive to me. Thankfully, this one stands up to the prestige that is often heaped on it. From a technical stand point, it's perfection.
Thematically, I doubt you'll find a better study of desire anywhere. Certainly a recommend.
