I haven't seen such an outstanding ensemble like this in a film for quite a while. Everyone is at the top of their game led by Johnny Depp, who gave his absolute career best performance . Depp owns every scene raising the tension at his will like it was a easy as turning up & down a dial.

Great modern gangster film dealing with themes like honor, allegiance and hypocrisy. The fact this film is totally omitted from any possibility of Oscar glory proves the Academy is not racist but deranged.
