A gangster film that rattles through the story to hit the key moments in Whitey''s infamy.
None of the usual well-trodden plot foils, allow us to relate with the lead character and make him into an anti hero.
Instead, Depp''s portrayal of Whitey is cold and malevolent for most of the film. This makes it hard to like anything about this film, leaving it a cold and brutal piece. But maybe that's the whole point.
