Joel Edgerton is the new Russell Crow and Johnny Depp Ray Liotta and both do an Oscar worthy job, except all his prosthetics. (have pretty Johnny shave his head for Pete's sake).
This concept of making the character look exactly like the actual person makes no sense since pretty much no one knows or cares about what this Whitey Bulger looked like and it's just a movie not some historical dramatization.
The film plays like a cool, somber, humorless Goodfellass and it is just that.
