Some would argue that this film was Martin's turning point in his career...When he started not being funny anymore...I beg to differ though, I feel Big Momma's House was the turn for the worse.
I enjoy his buddy cop type movies but lately he's just not funny anymore...I feel that Black Knight was his last decently funny film, come on people, ghetto humor meets the middle ages, how can this not be funny? I think it is, but if you think Big Momma's House 2 is the bomb you'll probably disagree with me.
It's people who like films like that who made Will Ferrell famous and also who are why we are seeing films like Epic Movie, Date Movie etc..People are easily amused and too easily entertained...I want more for my money.
But rambling babble aside, this is Martin Lawrence's swan song from comedy. Put it beside Bad Boys on your DVD shelf and look back not in anger, but at what once was...A funny dude.
