Review of Black Hawk Down (2001) by Alvin John C — 06 Jul 2012
This film is based on a true story and draws attention to the American involvement in Somolia during the early 90's. This is a story of sacrifice and how to cope with pandemonium. The only philosophy presented in the film is "shit happens.
" The first twenty minutes are slow but then there are lots of gun fights, and, in the end, there is no moral it's just an experience. Black Hawk Down is about as raw and as real as it gets without actually being there.
