Review of Black Dynamite (2009) by Tara A — 13 Oct 2010
A hilarious and (though you may not see it at first) clever film that preys upon enough black stereotypes to make every single scene a joke of some form. From secret pimp meetings to a ripped black karate expert with a haunted past to the invention of the dish chicken and waffles, this film has some presents what's often used as low brow humor in a uniquely humorous way.
The deliberate errors in production quality are probably one of my favorite themes in this movie, so pay attention! This film is also one of the more quotable comedies in recent years.
