Review of Black Death (2010) by Bryan B — 18 Jun 2011
A slow building, morally ambiguous film that portrays a 14th century Europe with exceptional realism (ie plague buboes, sword wounds, burned corpses). Great performances and lovely cinematography create just the right atmosphere of suspense and mistrust that still exists among followers of various religions of today.
This is more a dark historical period piece than horror or fantasy film, but still a great watch.
