Review of Black Death (2010) by Thomas J — 22 Jul 2011
Not your typical horror movie, this grim drama follows a young monk in 1348 who leads of group of men appointed by the Church to a village that mysteriously has not been ravaged by the Plague. Naturally, witchcraft is suspected.
The movie is very well acted, though if you're looking for an emotionally satisfying conclusion, you won't find it here. A feel good movie this is not. But if you're up for an interesting, dark historical piece this is well worth your time.
