Review of Black Death (2010) by Mark D — 03 Mar 2012
I don't have much to say about this movie. It's simply a perfect example of how corrupt the church was back then, and how horrible the plague was. The church sends out warriors to kill those who would dare defy them.
Sadly, not much has changed since then. The warfare is different, but the motives are the same. Sean bean is good here as Bori...I mean, Ulric. He's always good, though. Too bad he seems to be stuck in one role.
The movie gets a bit goofy when the group finally arrives at the plague free village. Turns out there's nutters on both sides! Just like real life! Oh, man, what an analogy to modern times!
