Review of Black Death (2010) by Matthew C — 06 Mar 2012
This is a different kind of three stars but basically it means that the movie was meh or so-so. It has some great things and poor things. First off it's not a very good script in terms of structure and how it flows, keeping interest.
The characters aren't that exciting even though there are some cool lines and moments. The premise is clear though and delivered. It's good versus evil, God vs. The devil and the movie shouts that faith is worth dying for, we sometimes misrepresent science and nature for supernatural things, and we can be consumed by what we fight against.
It is dark and gruesome and not very fulfilling but, as I said, the film does serve some compelling twists and scenes. No where near a must see.
