Review of Black Death (2010) by John A — 28 Jul 2013
Black Death Is An Atmospheric Thriller Based In England When The Plague Killed Half The Population In Europe. This Fictional Story Uses This Depressing Era To Add Some Great Atmosphere To The Film Itself.
The Story Revolves Around A Young Monk Named Osmund. Osmund Volunteers To Lead A Fearsome Knight, Ulric (Sean Bean) And His Band Of Mercenaries To A Remote Marsh. Their Quest To Hunt Down A Necromancer (Someone Able To Bring The Dead Back To Life), Who Is Believed To Live In The Village At The Other Side Of The Marsh. Torn Between His Love For God & His Love For A Young Woman Osmund Must Make A Choice, But This Is Nothing Compared To The True Horror Revealed To Them.
An Extremely Well Written Film, With Some Great Direction And Performances. The Film Is Mainly Great For It's Atmosphere Which Is Built Throughout The Film. Worth A Watch.
