Review of Black Dahlia (2006) by Lisa K — 04 Sep 2008
I hate this movie. Mia Kirschner in her obligatory winey roll.... mediocre performances all around, except Hilary Swank, who was the highlight of the whole film. From an artistic perspective, and a musical perspective, the time period is portrayed beautifully.
I really had such high hopes for this movie to be brilliant, and it seemed like it had everything going for it. I guess the forensic psychologist in me was really hoping to see more of the case, rather than Josh Harnett's lackluster detective character.
Compare it with Zodiac, and you'll see why it was so disappointing.
