Review of Black Dahlia (2006) by Karim G — 24 Feb 2009
I was aware of the warning signs, before I decided to check out "The Black Dahlia". Despite Brian DePalma, this movie wasn't well-liked at all. After seeing it, maybe it was best that I didn't.
It got off to a strong start, but by the end, the plot was so bizarre to the point where it left a bad taste in my mouth. Visually, it's stunning, and believe it or not, they've made Hilary Swank kind of attractive, for once--that's something! But as much as I probably should give it another chance (it's still fresh on my mind), I just don't have the heart to do it.
Once was enough!
