Review of Black Dahlia (2006) by Jordan P — 20 Apr 2010
This film has a lot going for it--good actors, great sets and costumes, beautiful, lush cinematography from an industry veteran, and a director who has proven in the past that he can do period drama as well as action.
And while the movie starts off fairly strong, something intangible changes about halfway through, and the last quarter is a total mess. I can't put my finger on what went wrong at the one-hour mark, but I recall thinking that something felt off--and it only got worse.
Lots of wasted potential.
