Review of Black Dahlia (2006) by Zach M — 28 Apr 2012
I have seen this movie a few times now I find that the more I watch it, the more it grows on me.
The three main actors, Josh Hartnett, Scarlett Johansson and Aaron Eckhart were a good ensemble that worked well together.
It played like a noir mystery from the 40's and 50's very well.
The story was a little drab considering the subject in the title. I was hoping the Black Dahlia murder would be more interesting.
Mia Kirshner is beautiful and a good choice as the dahlia.
Good nudity, decent mystery and some good actors directed from usually consistent Brian De Palma made for an alright watch.
