Review of Black Dahlia (2006) by Zach B — 04 May 2013
This film tries too hard (and fails) at being a noir. The voice-overs border on unintentional self-parody (at one point the narrator-cop refers to "senior citizens" - a phrase no cop would have been using in the time period).
It's visually rich, but that can't make up for so much wasted potential.
