Review of Black Dahlia (2006) by Robert B — 23 Oct 2013
Ambitious to a fault, but overall very lifeless. Brian DePalma is a brilliant filmmaker, but he just majorly dropped the ball. The crime noir flourishes are really nice, as well as the Hitchcockian methods, but it's just not enough to carry this heavy-handed thriller.
