Review of Black Crab (2022) by Tomhug — 19 Mar 2022
This movie does have a coherent dystopian feel. The plot is whisper-thin, and while it seems like there might be some expansion or explanation that adds depth or interest to the story, this never happens.
The acting overall is good, but the thin slices of character each actor gets do not provide much substance. Noomi Rapace is very good, but she's done this role before (Millenium series and Prometheus).
It's not a terrible movie, but there are others in the genre that do it better and deliver more.
