Review of Black Christmas (2006) by Nathan H — 03 Jan 2009

I can't make the claim that "Black Christmas" was a well-made movie, but it's good, twisted horror, and it's fairly stylish. I didn't want to like it, honestly, but I had a good time watching it.

..it felt like a long episode of "Tales From the Crypt," super-gory, not without a sense of humor, and not quite logical (it has a comic book sense of reality), but it acknowledges its comic-book-logic, and and doesn't take itself too seriously.

It's a nice reprieve from "Saw" and other torture flicks, which try so hard to be dark and horrific and emotional..."Black Christmas" is just mindless fun, at least.
