From a Behaviourist-Skinner/Pavlov-perspective, the question about Christmas-spirit got a new shade since the killer got a card that said ''Be good for goodness sake'', but since he never got any gifts he didn't learnt how to be good.
''Be good'' for ''goodness sake'' when behaviour is materialistically (and extrinsically!) reinforced by toys and egoism?!?! Otherwise, just a shitty, gory film with hot girls.
