Verhoeven loves tits and blood, and so do I. He shouldn't spend so much time away from filmaking. I was enjoying the film until the last 35-45 minutes. It got too wacky, but not Verhoeven wacky, and then every cliche in the book was thrown in.
The story stopped making sense and got too far fetched. It looked great and the acting was good. Hollywood needs to throw a $150 million budget remake of Caligula at Verhoeven and then we will be in business.
