Review of Black Book (2006) by Ian H — 01 Mar 2009
Really spectacular and gripping and while the SOME NAZIS WERE JUST NORMAL PEOPLE thing could have been exploited to make it some kind of morality tale (like it was in "The Reader," which I thought was poorly done), Verhoven didn't play it up.
It was about people. And spies. And it's really pretty much a masterpiece.
