Review of Black Book (2006) by Jojo E — 21 Sep 2009
This movie was terrifying. It was at times funny, witty, suspenseful and shocking.
I particularly liked the way the filmmaker was able to portray the brutality of the German occupation but also expose the decadence that many Nazi's flaunted when many were starving.
Though it can be criticized for being smutty, the film really blended the decadence of the Nazi party with the paranoia and depravity of the time.
