Review of Black Book (2006) by Giorgos P — 07 Nov 2009
I really thought this film would provide much more. Paul Verhoeven and an erotic Nazi flick really should.
Unfortunately it lacked any real tension or depth and devolved into something more like a Scooby Doo unmasking than a bittersweet memory of the war. A real shame because at one point the sense of utter hopelessness was quite amazing.
