Review of Black Book (2006) by Pierre-Léo B — 14 Nov 2009
Carice Van Houten is outstanding. She's a beautiful woman, a good actress, and a great singer. It worths to see the movie only for her. Sebastien Koch is as good and enticing than in The Others' Life. And the evil Waldemar Kobus is obnoxious....
The photography is great. The plot is very interesting as you see how the justice during war time was only a myth. The Netherlands' history during the WW2 was basically the same than in France with its small acts of revenges and its violence.
The insuline trick is quite interesting. I'll think about it if ever it happens to me....
