Review of Black Book (2006) by Nancy P — 30 Dec 2010
Ok - so I kinda fel in love with carice van houten a little in this film. She is incrediable. But, what starts off as a decent film turns into an almost ridiculous and overlong film which reallt loses it's way.
At one point van houten sobs "when will it end?" and im thinking yeah me too love. It does however paint a very inglorious picture of the dutch in world war 2 and definitely has verhoevens stamp of dark authenticity on it, which is always a good thing in my eyes.
