Review of Black Book (2006) by Bill C — 19 Jul 2011
This movie has much more of a European take on Jewish peoples situation in WWII. Except for Carice van Houten, All the other character's are morally ambiguous and have suspect motivations.
The arc of the story follows Carice van Houten from an Idealistic young singer through WWII as she becomes more and more hardened by her situation until she becomes a spy for the dutch resistance and eventually they betray her and she is branded a Nazi sympathizer.
The love scenes are European steamy and border on soft core. Carice van Houten is beautiful and more so when she bares all.
The movie is long at 146 Minute 2 hr 26 minutes but very entertaining.
