Review of Black (2005) by Mohammad I — 07 Dec 2007
It's the Helen Keller story in India, chapter 2, so to speak. It may be a theological allegory for some viewers. The cinematography is beautiful. Staging is theatrical at times. The lighting is ultra dramatic.
The teacher looks a little like George C. Scott and speaks delivers many lines sounding much like Al Pacino. It is longish but also one that you think about the next day.
