Review of BKO: Bangkok Knockout (2010) by Moses O — 04 Jan 2012
The plot is half-baked, the characters are underdeveloped, and the acting is...well, uh... *ahem*... but if it's a whoopin' you want, longtime Thai fight choreographer Panna Rittikrai (ONG BAK, CHOCOLATE, TOM YUM GOONG) will deliver it in spades.
While Rittikrai lacks the finesse of HK's Yuen Woo Ping (IRON MONKEY, CROUCHING TIGER HIDDEN DRAGON, TAI CHI MASTER), he makes up for it with the insane amount of energy and, well, plain ole ridiculousness he's willing to throw up on the screen.
And just like one of his earlier efforts, you're going to feel really, really bad for his stunt team. It's at best a fast-forward-to-the-fight-scenes rental.
