Completely devoid of that usual Inarritu magic. I like Amores Perros, 21 Grams and Babel a lot, but this was just so dull and lifeless. The story is the main issue here. The only reason we care a bit about the protagonist dying at the end is because Bardem puts in a good performance.
Otherwise, the tale is so terribly dull and uninteresting. A drop in standards for the director.
