A man whose in the process of a divorce with his bipolar wife, involved in illegal immigrant trade and dying of prostate cancer. Real upbeat stuff. I liked two comments from Ebert - "Perhaps the idea is that he inhabits a world so lacking in goodness that his possibilities for choice are limited." & "sometimes it's good simply to see a man who cares about the consequences of his actions.".
