It took us 5 nights to watch the whole movie (welcome to parenthood!) but it was totally worth it. I'm not really sure why this got such mixed-negative reviews outside of Bardem's performance (obviously extremely positive).

Gail was in tears and I was pretty close to it--so be prepared for very dark and depressing. But a great story of a strong father as he heads further and further along the downward spiral. I liked the family and drug subplots as well.

Very well shot and engaging.
