Review of Biutiful (2010) by Ray N — 30 Jul 2011
While Woody Allen captured Barcelona idealistically beautiful in Vicky Cristina Barcelona, director Alejandro González Iñárritu captures it's seamier and far uglier side in Biutiful (2010). A character study of a low level criminal who finds out he is dying and who now wants to leave things better for his family.
Javier Bardem is brilliant and worth watching for his Oscar nominated performance in this sad tale.
