Review of Biutiful (2010) by Vanessa P — 13 Aug 2011
Unlike a lot of redemptive tales, "Biutiful" overwhelmingly stays on track and true to itself, as terrifing and devestating as that may be for those of us still "living". Gorgeous in sight, sound and feeling, I have not yet seen such a beautiful message translated onto film so successfully.
The music is a wonderful character, Javier is more than perfect and the story of a father's never-ending love is poignant, deeply moving and hauntingly believable.
