Review of Biutiful (2010) by Reko U — 18 Oct 2011
Probably the best Iñárritu film, or at least at the same line with Amores Perros. The atmosphere, cinematography, music, acting... everything works seamlessly. Bardem especially shines and it's incredible how versatile as an actor he is. Still, the supporting cast is pretty incredible as well and Iñárritu again uses amateur/non-actors in some good parts, especially the Senegalese Diarytou Daff is just great.
I could watch any Iñárritu film again and again, one of the very few directors nowadays whose films just instantly grab you and couple of hours later you exit into the real world.
