Been to Barcelona a few times but had never seen the slums that this movie portrays. Biutiful is sad and depressing and depicts just what is wrong with our world (the drastic difference in life quality of the poor and rich).
While Biutiful has its moments (Bardem's acting is top notch) the movie drug a bit and the writing was a bit shaky. Not terrible but not special either.
