Review of Bitter Seeds (2011) by Pandeep D — 07 Jan 2013
This is a very important film that everyone should watch. Every 30 minutes a farmer in India kills himself. Ramkrishna hasnâ(TM)t given up yet, and is fighting to keep his land. The neighborsâ(TM) daughter overcomes village traditions to become a journalist, and Ramkrishna is her first assignment.
The human cost of genetically-modified agriculture is explored within a gripping character-based narrative. It was so touching I left the theater in tears.
