All of the madness, obsession, disenchantment, and cruelty of love is real and uniquely translated to the screen yet plotwise the story told to Hugh and his wife by the two twisted storytelling lovers of the film is complete nonsense.
There is nothing but sadism and sadism and at the end confusion. But then, that's how I've felt after one or two bad relationships. That's something.
