Review of Bitter Moon (1992) by Julio P — 19 Nov 2009
The recounting of a passionate relationship that turns into a life long of sadistic torture. The film is very disturbing with it's horrific portrayal of a sexual odyssey gone wrong but lacks the photography of Polanski's greats , but some of the imagery still stings--the sex game revealing the man peaking from behind the dresser with the pig mask or Peter Coyote climaxing and grabbing the dog.
And like most of Polanski's films the end packs a punch leaving you sick.
